FAQs

What is the difference between PVC and TPO?

Both are a single-ply roof membrane. The difference is the makeup and how they handle the environment. PVC is a more flexible and sustainable membrane that handles weather changes very well. TPO is a more rigid membrane that is cheaper but less tolerable to weather changes.

What is the difference between a standard 3-foot-wide metal roof panel and a standing seam roof panel?

There are two main differences in these type panels. First is the material. A standard metal panel is typically 26-gauge steel while a standing seam is 24-gauge steel which is thicker and more commercial type. Secondly, the difference is fastening. A standard panel has exposed fasteners and a standing seam panel has concealed fasteners.

What gauge metal do you recommend for metal roof panels?

26-gauge is ok for metal buildings and residential roofing. We prefer 24-gauge for its durability. 29-gauge is too thin in our opinion for any application.

Do you do residential shingle work?

Yes, we do residential shingle work in repairs and installation.

Why does your price tend to be higher on residential applications?

Our price has tendency to be higher on residential than others because we carry commercial insurance, bonding, and workman’s compensation policies. Also, we like to look at the entire job and cover everything that needs to be done on the roof. We don’t want to come back and ask for more because we missed something.

Do you offer financing?

We do not offer in house financing but can refer you to financing options through our vendors or financial institutions we work with.

What are your warranty options?

We have many warranty options based on the application. Please contact us for warranty information, so we provide the correct information.

Do you do repair work?

Yes, we do repair work on commercial buildings as well as residential homes.

Do you offer a service plan?

We do offer an annual service plan. Please contact us for information so we can custom build a service plan to meet your needs.
